Role and Regulation of Clp Proteases: A Target against Gram-Positive Bacteria

چکیده

Bacterial proteases participate in the proteolytic elimination of misfolded or aggregated proteins, carried out by members AAA+ protein superfamily such as Hsp100/Clp, Lon, and FtsH. It is estimated that Clp Lon families perform around 80% cellular proteolysis bacteria. These functions are regulated, part, through spatial and/or temporal use adapter which recognition delivery specific substrate proteins to proteases. The plays an important role maintaining controlling quality avoiding accumulation aggregation unfolded truncated proteins. However, this not their only function, since they play formation virulent phenotypes response different types stress faced when entering host occur environment. This review summarizes structural functional aspects Gram-positive microorganisms.
